Arrive in Accra, Ghana. You will be met at the airport by our representatives who will assist you
with your transfer from the airport to your hotel. Participate in an orientation session.

ACCRA CITY TOUR – VISIT A TRADITIONAL AFRICAN MARKET & DRUMMING LESSONS
After breakfast, depart for a sightseeing tour of Accra, the
Capital of Ghana. Experience the city’s highlights during this
Accra orientation. The capital of Ghana since 1877, Accra is also
the capital of the Greater Accra Region. In addition, it’s the
country’s most populous city. Travel through the
administrative and economic districts of Accra. Also, see the
W.E.B. Du Bois Center for Pan African Culture and the
Independence/Black Star Square. Learn about important
events in Ghana’s history and the country’s first president who
helped lead Ghana to independence.
Continue your tour to The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park,
dedicated to the legacy of Ghana's first President, Kwame
Nkrumah, and his role in African independence. The tour
includes visits to Nkrumah's mausoleum, a museum
showcasing his life, his personal residence, the eternal Flame of
African Liberation, and beautifully landscaped gardens. Learn
about Nkrumah's early life, political career, and Pan-African
vision.
End the day’s tour at the Arts Center, where participants can
sharpen their bargaining skills to shop for goods from Ghana
and West Africa in an open-air market. On display, you will see
fabrics of different materials, designs, colors and textures to
purchase from. Afterwards, you will immerse yourself in the
rhythms of Ghana with a drumming and dancing workshop at
the Arts Centre in Accra. Led by skilled local instructors, this
interactive experience introduces you to the heartbeat of
Ghanaian culture through traditional music and movement.
Begin with a drumming session, where you'll learn the basics of
playing iconic instruments like the djembe and kpanlogo drums.
Feel the energy as you're guided through rhythmic patterns that
form the foundation of Ghanaian music. with Overnight at

NATIONAL MUSEUM – MAKOLA AND JAMESTOWN WALKING TOUR TOUR
sAfter breakfast, visit the National Museum of Ghana is in the
Ghanaian capital, Accra. It is the largest and oldest of the six
museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums
and Monuments Board. The museum building was opened
on 5th March, 1957 as part of Ghana's independence
celebrations.
Afterwards, tour the Makola market, Accra’s largest openair market which overflows with goods, people, scents and
sounds, hustle and bustle. It is the best place to absorb the
atmosphere of a West African market. It is in the centre of
the city so has heavy traffic most of the time and car park is
mostly full between 10 am and 5pm. It is quite an amazing
place with lots of very narrow alleyways and women
walking about with huge bowls and other packages on their
heads. Good place to shop for most things but very crowded
most times.
After lunch, Conclude the day's tour in Jamestown, one of Accra's oldest and most historic
neighborhoods, where a walking exploration will transport
you back to the city's colonial era. Begin your visit at the
iconic Jamestown Lighthouse, a striking red-and-white
structure built in 1871, offering breathtaking panoramic
views of the coastline. From there, meander through the
district’s narrow streets, lined with vibrant colonial-era
buildings that stand as reminders of the area’s storied past.
Along the way, immerse yourself in Jamestown’s rich history
and culture, gaining insight into its significance as a key part
