7 Day Adventure Itinerary
Depart your hotel and visit The Shai Hills Game Reserve, which combines nature conservation, rich cultural interest, and archaeological sites with splendid scenic beauty. Trek through the savannah plains where you might see West Africa's notable game: antelope, bushbucks, kobs, baboons, monkeys, and many bird species. Visit the Obonu Tem and Se Yo caves, once home to the Shai people's ancestors. Later, head to Akosombo for a boat cruise on the Volta River to see the Adomi Bridge.
Visit Torgorme village for a traditional naming ceremony. Receive a Ghanaian name while being welcomed by the chief and elders with drumming and dancing. Afterward, visit the Cedi Bead factory to see how recycled glass is crushed and fired into vibrant, traditional beads.
Drive to the Hohoe region. Hike through the Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary, crossing several meandering streams to reach the Lower Wli Waterfalls. It is the highest waterfall in West Africa, falling from a height of approximately 80 meters.
Trek to the summit of Mount Afadjato (885m), the highest peak in Ghana. Enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding forest and villages. Descend and return to Accra in the evening.
Enjoy a one-hour waterfall massage, a unique therapeutic experience. In the afternoon, participate in a pottery-making session where you will learn traditional hand-molding and firing techniques from local women.
Learn the secrets of making "Alata Samina" (African Black Soap) using cocoa pods, plantain skins, and palm oil. The afternoon is free for leisure or individual exploration.
Morning at leisure for final shopping at the Arts Center before your airport transfer for departure.
